Feline Declaw

This bone surgery is best done while the kitten is young and heals fast, 4-6 months of age. The claws are removed under anesthetic, and they are hospitalized for 1-2 days, allowing time for the pads to begin healing. Extra pain medication is recommended. Generally only a front foot declaw is recommended for indoor cats. If a family member has very thin skin or other health issues, or the cat is a resident of a nursing home, a four foot declaw may be desired. This naturally costs twice as much.

Surgery includes routine anesthetic of a healthy cat and anesthetic monitoring $99.00 ($75.00 if added to a spay or neuter)
Recommended: Pre-anesthetic bloodwork $52.00
Extra pain medication $8.00
Laser Surgery $43.00 (additional)
